Will Tekonsha T-One Wiring Harness for 2015 Jeep Renegade Correctly Power Running Lights on Trailer

Question:
This item has not arrived yet, but I am concerned as I review the installation info... I do not see how this unit would control running lights at all unless they are just always on, draining the battery. The T connectors have the yellow for left turn and brake, and the green for right turn and brake, but where does the brown wire get controlled at? I see it passes on to the 4 pin flat plug? I sense I will be returning this and not using it. The Hopkins 42134 is both cheaper and I can clearly see where the brown wire gets its control since the yellow tap also has a brown wire on their unit.

Hey Cory,
The Tekonsha T-One Wiring Harness # 118651 will absolutely power the running lights on the trailer when hooked up to your Jeep. It's designed to tee into the tail lights of the vehicle and the running light circuit does indeed pass through the harness without draining the Jeep's battery. There's really no need to return this. It will work perfectly.
