Can P2 Brake Controller Fit 2019 Chevy Suburban with Tow Package and Work with Big Text 70CH

Question:
I am interested in a P2 brake controller for my 2019 Chevy Suburban. My vehicle has a 7 way, and a hitch , so I assume it’s with tow package . I am purchasing a Big Tex 70CH-20bkdt trailer and I am told it has electric brakes, not electric over hydraulic. I see the P2 shows it supports electric over hydraulic. Can it be used? If not, can you send me a link to a proportional controller with a plug and play harness that you would recommend? Also, I may need a spare for this application. 205/75/15 Radial LR C mounted on a black modular rim 5 on 5” pattern. Thank you. John Mayer.

Hey John, yes the Prodigy P2 part # 90885 is compatible with electric and electric over hydraulic brakes so it will work fine with the electric brakes of your Big Tex.
It does sound like you have the factory tow package so the correct install harness would be the part # 3016.

Hey John, how did the Prodigy P2 and the plug-in harness work out with your Suburban and Big Tex trailer? Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up a similar towing setup.
