Question:
I have the mallard 2001 and the air keeps switching off every 10 minutes from the switch I touched the unit and it’s real warm near the switches should I replace or what should I do ? Thanks

Hey Roberto,
If the AC unit is stopping every ten minutes and requiring you to turn it back on the unit is probably overheating because the either the drain pan holes are clogged or the coils are freezing over and choking the unit. You'll want to remove the shroud and check the pan and clean out any clogged drain holes. From there you'll want to check the coils and make sure they aren't frozen over. AC units sit outside and take on a lot of dirt/dust/debris so cleaning it all out to allow the unit to breathe will help it function correctly.
