Hi! I have a new 2024 Honda Civic sedan with a naked roof - I have never used clamp on roof racks before and have 2 questions: 1. Will this style of rack damage the paint over time assuming proper installation, use and care, and 2. Between the two brand you offer - Yakima and Thule - Who has the better mounting interface least likely to cause damage? Thank you!

Congrats on the new car! The clamp on style roof racks have heavy padding and a soft base for the towers. They won't scratch your paint.
For your 2024 Honda Civic, I recommend the Yakima Custom Fit Roof Rack Kit item # Y85QB. It has molded rubber pads that'll fit the contours of your roof. This aerobar roof rack has a 165 lbs capacity.
