CAN I USE THE POWER FROM THE REAR POWER SOCKET IN MY 2006 INFINITY FX45 TO POWER THE TAIL LIGHT CONVERTER?

Hey Gene,
Nope, you definitely don't want to power the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # HM11140804 to the rear power socket on your 2006 Infiniti FX45.
You must run the hot lead to the battery when installing the harness as this is the only way to ensure your wiring is not affected; the wiring wouldn't be protected if you ran it to the power socket.
