When you install a brake controller on a 2007(new body style) through 2013 GMC Sierra or Chevy Silverado, you will have additional wires under the hood which make the installation slightly different from a typical installation. You will simply connect the wires from your brake controller to the wires you found. I attached a picture that shows what each wire would wire to on a brake controller. CHMSL stands for Center High Mount Signal Lamp is used for wiring in a third brake light on a camper shell. You won't need to worry about this circuit for a brake controller install.

I attached an FAQ article that will walk you through everything you need to do to install a brake controller in your new body 2007 Chevy Silverado.

If you haven't picked out a brake controller yet I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup and install.
