Does the hitch that I got for my 2019 outlander sport fit my 2024 eclipse crossover

No, it does not! The only hitch that fits a 2024 Mitsubishi Eclipse Crossover is the Draw-Tite item # DT97GR. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity and a 525 lbs maximum tongue weight.
