What Install Harness Should 2014 Chevy Silverado Use to Install Reese Tow Power Brake Controller

Question:

I bought a Reese Tow Power brake controller model 8508700 a couple of years ago for my 2003 Silverado. Im getting rid of the 03 and Id like to install the brake controller in my 2014 Silverado LT 5.3 with factory tow package. From what I have read the Tekonsha 3016-P wire harness will fit my 2014 Silverado but what Id like to know is it compatible with the Reese brake controller wiring? From what the pictures show and what my Reese 4 in line plug looks like they are compatible. Just want to make sure before I order anything, Thanks

Hey Mike, so the Tekonsha brake controller install harness part # 3016 is the correct harness to install your Reese Tow Power brake controller in your 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500. The reason for this is that the Tekonsha and Reese brake controllers are both made by the same company and use the same connectors.
