Question:

Hi there. What would be the best trailer hitch for my Audi Q3, year 2020, to tow a tear trailer with 2919 lbs weight / 407 tongue weight, or a trailer with 2045 lbs / 215 tongue weight. I cannot get any information for towing this kind and weight of trailer with an appropriate hitch, if possible. Hope you can help with more information. Thanks in advance for your kind response.

We do have trailer hitch options for your 2020 Audi Q3. If you plan to tow a trailer, your best bet will be to go with the Stealth Hitches Class 4 Trailer Hitch # 391AUDQ319T. This hitch is capable of towing up to 6,000 lbs, and 600 lbs of tongue weight. So more than enough for either of the trailers you mentioned. The Stealth Hitch also features a removable receiver, so the hitch will be completely hidden when not in use. This also includes your ball mount, and the necessary trailer wiring harness.

With that said, we do recommend checking your owners manual in regards to the towing capacity of your vehicle. We have seen some Q3 models that are only rated to tow around 3,000 lbs and 300 tongue weight. Your towing setup will only be as strong as the weakest component. So the hitch may be rated for 6,000 lbs, but if the vehicle is only rated for 3,000, then you will be limited to the vehicles weight rating. If that is the case here, you will probably want to go with the 2045 lbs / 215 tongue weight trailer that you mentioned.
