What size snap hook will fit the factory safely chain holder? A 3/8inch hook is too small.

I was able to determine that the Curt Clevis Hook Part # C81980 that has a 1/2 inch diameter hook will work on the safety chain loops of the Reese Elite Series Pop-In Ball Kit # RP30137. I pulled the two products from our warehouse and test fit them and they are compatible. I attached a video that shows them being tested together.
