Question:

I have a 2023 ford escape, with a 4 pin towing connector. I just got a bully hitch step with led brake light and it’s tripping the “check bulb fault” because the leds don’t pull enough to report. I saw a solution elsewhere on the site for an adapter that has diodes that increase amp draw, but that adapter was for a 7 pin. Do you have a similar adapter that would solve my issue? Thanks

While we do not have an adapter pre made you can easily create your own by wiring in 3 Load Resistors # P230004A on a 4-Way Extension # HM48145. The resistors will create a larger power draw and confuse your 2023 Ford Escape into thinking they are higher draw lights. Then you will be able to use the Bully Hitch Step without the check bulb fault.
