Why Does the Manual Override Knob on the Tekonsha P3 Only Show 8.4 Volts

Question:
I have a Tekonsha P3 Brake Controller and I have 12.5 volts input voltage but when manually activated output voltage only 8.4. Amps are similar.

The manual knob output power on the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 can be adjusted anywhere between 0.0 to 15 volts. Yours must currently be set at 8.4. You can adjust the output using the power buttons.
