Troubleshooting Winch that Won't Reverse on Pop Up

Question:
On a Viking pop up trailer the winch is locked and I can’t reverse it

Not all winches are reversible but on a pop up I would assume it is and it normally can crank both directions. Sometimes you have to relieve some tension in the setup by cranking it a little in the direction it's allowing so that the mechanism can then free up. I would try that first and see if that helps.
