Connecting Trailer Wiring with 5 Wires to 4-Way with 4 Wires

Question:
We are having issues connecting the wires on our boat trailer...we are replacing the lights and the connectors but the old trailer connectors five wires and my car connector has four pictures submitted...we can figure out which wires go to which because there are two browns

The wiring your trailer has is wishbone wiring for the running light circuit. So what you would need to do is run the single brown wire of your new 4-way to both of the brown wires on your trailer wiring and everything will work like it should. Basically the running light circuit runs to both sides of your trailer.
