I Installed The DT35MR And The Spare Tire Will Not Fit Back In To Place

Question:
I just installed the Draw-tite hitch recommended for my 2023 Ford F-150 XL without factory hitch. DT35MR Unfortunately now the hitch interferes with the spare tire when I tried to raise it back up. The spare tire no longer fits between the hitch and the frame crossmember. The hitch is installed in the correct location. Any idea what’s going on?

We did not encounter this issue with any of our installs that we did here. Most recently we installed the Draw Tite # DT35MR on a 2021 Ford F-150 and the spare tire went right back in to place with no issues. Unless your spare tire is not stock, or you somehow installed the hitch in the wrong spot, I am not sure how this would be possible. If you can provide some pictures I would be happy to take a closer look and see what can be done.
I have also linked our install video below if you want to take a look.
