You do not have to remove the factory folding steps to install the Lippert SolidStep RV Steps # LC713662. We do have the MORryde Locking RV Storage Box # MR43RR if you want to replace them with something you will be able to use. I find this is a great place to store wheel chocks, landing pads and levelers which you need before the steps are folded down and block the storage box.
