How is the Thickness of the Camco Cam Locks Measured

Question:

I want to replace hand operated latches on RV storage doors with locking type latches. Your product descriptions for CAM44303 and similar are 5/8inch and 3/4inch thick. What is the thick dimension? The threaded shaft? thread diameter? Attached is a picture of the latch I will be replacing. Thanks!

The thickness of the Camco Cam Locks is measured from the back of the face of the lock to the latch (see photo). Based on the photo you submitted, I believe you would want the Camco Cam Lock -1-1/8 Thick, # CAM44363. This lock measures 1-1/8 inches from the back of the lock face to the latch.
