In order to have a 12V power supply at the vehicle connection point for a trailer you will need to have a fully functioning 7-way.
For your truck I recommend using the Tow-Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118243. This harness will replace your existing 4-way, and upgrades it to a 7-way connection using the factor plug. The fuses and relays are included that will be used in your power distribution box, and the trailer towing relay block.
Once you have a functioning 7-way installed in your truck, the blade in the 1 o'clock position that is on the vehicle connector will supply a 12V power supply from your truck.
I have included a couple of videos for this part as well as a wiring diagram helpful article for your reference.
