Is It Normal For Solera 12V Power Awning to Creak

Question:
I have a Solera automatic awning on my RV unit. Sometimes when I deploy, or retract the awning, the arms sound as though they are creaking. Is this normal or do I need to lubricate the arms with a lubricant?
