Will Adding Another Battery To An Inverter Setup Increase The Starting Amperage For Heavy Loads

Question:
I have a victron multiplus inverter, 2000watt rating. I have 2, 100 amp hour lithium batteries. Can I add another matching battery to this system? Will this give me additional amperage for starting heavy startup loads?

Adding another battery to your system wouldn't give you a higher starting amperage for the inverter, but would give you a larger amp hour bank. This means that you can run your equipment for longer since you'll have more stored power. You will want to verify how many of your batteries that you can wire together since some brands have stipulations on the amount of batteries wired together.
The only way to handle larger loads would be to replace the inverter with one with a higher capacity like the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger - 3,000 Watts # 34275013. This inverter has a peak (surge) amperage of 52 amps and continuous (running) amperage of 25 amps.
