What is the length of the wiring that splits the two connectors?

The overall length of the wire for the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # HM11141855 is 10" but then it splits at about 5-1/2" as well. I've attached a photo for you to check out.
