Draw-Tite Hitch Rattles on 2017 Subaru Forester with Dual Exhaust
Updated 05/22/2023 | Published 05/19/2023 >
Question:
In response to the following conversation I have this installed on a 2017 Subaru Forester XTdual exhaust. The exhaust bracket vibrates against the angled support of the hitch. What do you recommend for an edge trim of rubber etc. to stop this noise under moderate acceleration? https://www.etrailer.com/question-365611.html

In regards to trailer hitch vibrations like with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76182 on a 2017 Subaru Forester, we typically recommend bending the hangers for the exhaust away from the hitch slightly which in most cases, gets rid of the rattle. I have attached for you below a help article we did to help others with the same issue. If this does not fix the problem, you could possibly use some rubber hose split in half to place on the bottom of the hitch flange to cushion the contact.
