For your 2018 Dodge Journey GT you will need either the Kit # 118567 if you have incandescent tail light or the Kit # 118536 if you have LED tail lights. This will require connecting in line of your tail lights and running a power wire to the battery. The additional wiring is needed as there is not wiring already ran for a trailer connection on your Journey.
I recommend using the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98845 for connecting to your trailer. This gives you a 2" receiver with a hitch height approximately 14" off the ground. You can pair this with the Towing Starter Kit # C45534 to tow a trailer which has a 2" ball coupler.
