Question:
2021 Mazda CX-5 with 2 inch hitch. I dont really need a 5 bike rack, 4 would be fine, but I like the idea of not having an adapter to use the Saris Glide on my 2 inch hitch. Am I better off to spend the extra $20 for the bigger rack? Any downside to doing this? Thanks

The only real "downside" between using the Saris Glide EX Bike Rack for 5 Bikes # SA775 over the Saris Glide EX Bike Rack for 4 Bikes # SA774 is the fact that the 5 bike rack version is slightly heavier (39-lbs vs 37) and it doesn't have as high per-bike weight capacity (35-lbs per-bike vs 30-lbs per-bike), other than that they are the exact same.
I was also looking at the Saris Glide # SA774 you mention and you shouldn't need to use any adapters to work with your Mazda. This bike rack works with class II (1-1/4") and 2' hitches. Since you said your Mazda already has a 2" hitch this rack will work just fine, so there isn't any real need to upgrade to a 5-bike rack if you don't need the extra slot.
