First I recommend checking to ensure you have power getting to the jack. The jack is wired to the 12 volt battery and will use an inline fuse or circuit breaker. A Test Light # PTW2993 will allow you to test for power along the wiring to the tongue jack to verify it is getting power. If you do not have power check the fuse/circuit breaker and replace as needed. There could also be damage to the wire which is why it is good to inspect the wiring for any damage. Depending on your jack it may have a negative ground wire or it could make its ground connection through the mounting hardware. There is a chance corrosion has built up between the mounting hardware and the trailer frame. You can try a jumper wire directly to the battery negative to verify the ground connection is good.
If all the power is good but you still do not have anything your jack is most likely damaged and will need replaced. A good replacement would be the Bulldog Powered Drive Trailer Jack # BD500199 as it has a 5 year warranty. This has a 2-1/4" outer tube diameter and bolts up to the standard 3 bolt mounting flange on most trailer tongues like your Forest River Mini Lite 2509s.
