Question:

I need to install wiring for a 2022 Sienna. Tekonshas T-One Wiring Harness # TK69FR uses an inline fuse on one of its wires. This concerns me because it would be difficult to troubleshoot, find, and replace that fuse if it blows, especially while camping. Do you have other solutions that either 1 make the fuse more accessible by locating it in the vehicles existing fuse box or 2 use a self-resetting breaker instead of a fuse? If not, then is it possible / advisable to replace the harnesss fuse with a self-resetting breaker? Thank you.

I have a couple of options you might find helpful. First rather than splicing or modifying the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK69FR for your 2022 Toyota Sienna you can drill a 1-7/8" hole near the harness and use the Plug # AM90081 to fill the hole. This will gain you easy access to the fuse in the event to troubleshoot any issues.

Otherwise you will want to relocate the fuse to an easier location to access. This will require cutting out the fuse holder from the harness and adding enough wire to a location that is more accessible. Do be sure to protect the wire if routing through any holes or near sharp edges that could damage the wire.

I do not like using a circuit breaker in this type of location as they themselves can fail like a fuse and would still be as difficult to access.
