I have a 2004 Chevy 2500hd 6 1/2 bed. My Extang trifecta cover has dried out and cracking and tearing in several places and i need a replacement cover. Will the 2.0 work on my non 2.0?

The tonneau cover you're referring to has been discontinued and the Replacement Tarp for Extang Trifecta 2.0 Soft Tonneau Cover # EX92940-20 you mention is not compatible with your original as they have different rails and bows. So with that being said, your only option is for a complete replacement.
If you wanted to stick with the Trifecta, the Extang Trifecta 2.0 Soft Tonneau Cover # EX92940 is the correct tonneau cover for your truck and will work wonderfully as an upgrade.
