Does Tow Dolly Use Trailer or Flat Tow Vehicle Tow Rating of Motorhome

Question:
Im looking at a couple of Class A motorhomes and trying to understand Newmar/Freighliners ratings. One of the vehicles indicates towing capacity is 10k towing flat and 5k towing a trailer. If I wanted to tow a vehicle using a tow dolly would I consider the trailer tow rating or the flat tow rating?

Great question. It would be the flat tow rating since tow dollies like the Demco Kar Kaddy SS part # DM9713045 don't have tongue weight like trailers have. So you could tow a vehicle on a dolly like this up to 10,000 lbs.
