How to Level Tow Bar if There is 6 inch Difference Between Base Plate and Tow Vehicle Hitch Height

Question:
I plan to obtain parts to convert my new 2023 Ford Bronco to flat tow behind my Mercedes Sprinter 3500 based RV. When measuring the height of the Class 3 hitch on the RV, centerline is approximately 17 off of the ground. On the Bronco, the centerline of where the new Blue Ox adapters would fit into the existing modular bumper is approximately 23 off of the ground. My understanding is the towbar connection between vehicles is supposed to be relatively level. What thoughts do you have on making this height difference work?

Getting the tow bar as level as possible is ideal when flat towing so you are on the right track. We have high-low adapters that are designed to help with this. So in your case you would need a 6 inch high low adapter like the Blue Ox part # BX88130 and you'd be set! This will allow your tow bar to be totally level.
