Troubleshooting 88 Error Code On Furrion RV Electric Fireplace

Question:

Is there a fix for this if it keeps occurring, it was not my understanding that this unit couldn’t be used to run the heat full time.

If your Furrion RV Electric Fireplace # F30SW15ABL continually flashes the error code 88 after you have cleaned all the inlets and outlets on the fireplace more than likely your fireplace will need to be replaced. If you are within the warranty on the fireplace or on your RV it came in you can contact the RV manufacturer to get a replacement. Below I have linked the installation instructions as well so you can verify that the RV manufacturer included enough space behind your fireplace for the heat to dissipate and not cause the unit to overheat. If the RV manufacturer did not use a large enough housing this would explain why your fan motor is overheating.
