How Does The Proximity Sensor Work On Greystone RV Fireplaces

Question:
Were looking at your 26 fireplace for our 2015 Sydney keystone 5th wheel Explain about it shutting off if anything is within 6 inches please So we couldnt stand in front of it or put anything in front of it? We usually have a small pet bed on the floor in front of it

The sensor for the Greystone 26" Electric Fireplace with Crystals # 324-000068 is located in the top vent where your heat will come from. Essentially if you block the heat from being able to come out it will shut off. That being said it's not like it would shut off if you sat in front of it and tried to warm up.
