Question:
Can this be used to keep food warm? Not anything straight out of an oven, just small food orders that I deliver by bike.

Yes, the insulation on the AO Coolers Saddlebag Coolers # AC43FR will also keep things warm. These are a great solution for your food deliveries. As you said though, extremely hot items like something straight out of the oven would damage the cooler so it is not advised.
