Can Redarc Brake Controller Be Used With Brake Buddy Stealth Flat Tow Braking System

Will the Brake Buddy HM39530 work with other brake controllers, like my Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller RED24FR? Or is their controller proprietary?

The brake controller that comes with the Brake Buddy Stealth Supplemental Braking System # HM39530 is proprietary.
This controller is actually modeled after the Hopkins Agility Trailer Brake Controller HM47295 and I've asked Brake Buddy if the Agility can be used as a replacement and they said that the flat-tow profile used with the Brake Buddy Controller # HM39533 is different than a regular electric brake controller so the one that comes with the Stealth HAS to be used with that system.
