Troubleshooting SH Error Code of Tekonsha Prodigy P2

Question:
I drove my trailer no problem. Then when I reconnected, my P2 showed “sh”. Now it’s totally blank. Did I just destroy the unit.

The SH code on the Prodigy Brake Controller, # 90885, indicates that while idle, the brake controller is sensing a short in the brake wire. Most likely this is due to corrosion on the trailer connector pins so I would recommend cleaning them to see if that helps. If that doesn't fix it you need to look for cut or exposed wire on this circuit most likely on the trailer side of the wiring and clean up as needed. If it's blank now check under the hood for the fuse or relay associated with the brake controller power circuit and fix as needed.
