Question:

I purchased a 2021 Rockwood 8336BH that was used. It came with the Pro Series 49904 weight distribution hitch which is way under rated for the trailer. My dry weights are 9669 with a hitch weight of 1320. The PS is only rated for 1200. Crazy that a dealership would sell these together. My question is are there upgraded grunion bars for this hitch that can handle the weight or do I need to buy a new complete kit?

You will need to replace your current Pro Series hitch with the Strait-Line Weight Distribution # RP66075. This will also give you a much better sway control than the Friction Sway # 83660 you currently have. The Pro Series does not offer a set of bars that you can use to upgrade the strength of your hitch. The Strait-Line is rated for tongue weights of 1,000-1,700lbs and a maximum trailer weight of 17,000lbs.

You will need either the 2" Shank # BXW4000 or 2-1/2" Shank # BXW4028 to complete the weight distribution hitch.
