Question:
Hi! I want to buy this fridge. I have an off the grid cabin with a solar panel and 12v marine batteries. Will 1 battery be enough? Will solar power be enough to keep this going all day and night or is this only good for an RV?

Expert Reply:
The Everchill RV Refrigerator w/ Freezer # 324-000119 uses 11-amp hours of power, so it's going to consume 264 amp hours of power over the course of a day. You are not going to be able to run this off of just one solar panel and battery. You would likely need a battery bank closer to 4 batteries (at minimum 264 amp hours).
A solar panel system like the Go Power Solar Elite Charging System # 34282184 would be a more appropriate sized solar charging system. But even so, would still likely require the use of a generator like the Champion 2,500-Watt Portable Inverter Generator # CH34FR on cloudy days.
