The easiest solution would be to add a junction box like with the part # 277-000141 to your trailer wiring for the install of the Autowbrake part # 3430001. While it does require cutting the 7-way wiring it will give you an easy way to install the brake controller plus gives you the benefits of having a junction box. Basically you'd trace the 7-way wiring of your trailer from the connector back till you find where on your trailer you'd want to mount the box. You'd cut the wiring there and then wire the trailer side wiring to the correct posts of the box and you'd be set.

To splice in the wires of your trailer to the junction box all you'd need is ring terminals to go from the wiring to the posts of the box. You'd need 4 of the larger gauge ring terminals part # 44-5310A and 10 of the # DW05702-1 and you'd have everything needed to make the connections.
