Can I install a trailer hitch with the spare tire mounted underneath on this model. It is a 2 wheel drive.

Yes, there are trailer hitches available for the 2004 Isuzu Rodeo that have the spare tire mounted underneath the vehicle. I have included a link to the options for you. Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75093 is one of the hitches that will fit. Please note that the hitches that will fit with the spare tire mounted underneath will NOT fit models that also have the 3.5 liter engine. There are currently no options for that combination.
If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. For trailer wiring use # 118360
