Where do you take the measurements on the LC77VR to compare to the one on my RV

The Replacement Support Arm Assembly for Lippert Edge 58" Awning - Black # LC77VR is measured from the top of the bracket down to the bottom of the assembly. This is an overall length of 58" and the same measurement used to find a replacement. The arm itself is 53-3/4" long. See the photo below which shows these measurements.
