Will Swagman XP 4 Bike Rack Fit 2011 GMC Acadia And Towed Camper

Question:
I have a 2011 GMC Acadia and would like to be able to take 4 bikes and pull a 2009 Starcraft centenial 3612 camper. The camper has a tongue weight of 320. I am looking at the Swagman 64975xp. Will this hitch work? Or do you have another suggestion? Thanks for any help.

The Swagman XP - Folding 4 Bike Towing Rack, part # S64975 has a weight capacity of 350 lbs tongue weight. Based on that, the weight of the bikes you would carry added to the 320 lbs tongue weight of your trailer, it would likely exceed the weight capacity of the # S64975.
I did some research on your camper and found that there Could be issues with clearance when the bike carrier is mounted between the vehicle and the camper, if anything is mounted on the tongue.
An alternative option I would recommend would be a camper roof mount rack like the Swagman Pop Up Camper Roof Mount 4 Bike Rack, part # S80550. Drilling is required to install the included tie-down points for straps to secure the rack to the roof. This rack has a weight capacity of 140 lbs. You will want to check with Starcraft and determine what the weight capacity of your camper roof is. This rack will hold 4 bikes and comes with the straps and hardware needed to secure the bikes to the rack and also the rack to the trailer. I have attached a video for this rack.
