Question:
I have an even break and it says the break lights are on. The break switch is OK open and then short when break pressed, but the green wire has 7 volts on it with the switch open or wire unplugged. Im thinking the transmitter is bad. Is there any other tests I can do to confirm the transmitter is good or bad?

Expert Reply:
This means that the the Roadmaster Even Brake # RM-9400 is not getting a clear signal between the transmitter and the unit. If you can move the transmitter or main unit closer hopefully that will allow the signal to connect and get rid of the issue. If that does not work you'd need a new transmitter like with the # RM-9420.
