Does Display of Prodigy P3 Go Dark Once in Sleep Mode

When P3 in sleep mode is the digital display supposed to go dark? Thanks

When the Prodgy P3 part # 90195 goes into sleep mode the display does go dark. Normally this is after 15 minutes or so.
