How To Mount The Valterra RV Water Tank On A Trailer

Are the 3 fittings that do not go through into the tank for mounting?

The Valterra RV Water Tank # R8042 has 6 ports (3 on each side) to allow for different ways to mount your tank. One hole is already cut out with a red plug but the rest would require you to drilling out the hole before attaching your plumbing to the tank.

To mount the tank most RV manufacturers just fabricate a bracket to mount the tank to the frame. On the trailers I work on here there's usually a large U-shaped strip of metal around the tank that's simply bolted onto the frame with some self-tapping screws.

You could also just run some beams between the frame rails of the trailer like I have pictured below of a fellow employee's 5th wheel. He just ran the beams across and shot some self-tapping screws through the beam into the frame rails.
