Does Edge Insight Comprehensive Gauge Display Require Program Updates For a Cadillac 2004 XLR

Question:

I was told that the Cadillac XLR 2004 that I own has a different motor than its conunterparts. Is this true? And if so, what chip would be compatable with it?

In my research I found that there were two different motors used in your 2004 Cadillac XLR, however, this will not effect the performance of the Edge # EP84030 that you referenced.

The Edge Insight # EP84030 is a monitoring gauge that will work with your vehicle and is not a tuner. The microchip that is inside this unit does not need to be updated like the Edge Evolution Series Tuners.

The Edge Evolution series units are vehicle/engine specific and at this time there is not a unit that will work with your vehicle. These units can require downloads when updates are made to the program to enhance the performance of the vehicle.
