The Draw Tite Hitch part # DT84GR that you referenced that fits your 2021 Volkswagen ID 4 the pin hole depth is 2-1/2 inches which is their standard depth. The backside of the hitch opening tapers up so an exact overall depth is harder to say but it's about 6 inches. Worth nothing is that this is open on both ends.
