Question:
In the video he states that this rack is not motorhome compatible but the Thule is. Can you explain why this one is not?

Etrailer does not rate racks for any trailer, motorhome, fifth wheel, or flat towing use. This designation comes directly from the manufacturers. I did some research and I found there are no Yakima racks of this style rated for motorhome use. I can only speculate based on the specs. The Yakima SingleSpeed Bike Rack for 1 Bike - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount, part # Y02481 is not designed to carry heavier bikes, probably to help keep the weight low. It is rated to carry bikes up to 40 lbs. While the Thule T1 Bike Rack for 1 Bike - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount, part # TH9041, is approximately 10 lbs heavier and it can carry bikes up to 60 lbs. The Thule T1 is a more robust offering.
I have included a product description link and video review links below.
