Do Solar Panels Need Disconnected When Switching Batteries With Furrion MPPT Solar Charge Controller

Question:
I plan to swap out my two 12V lead batteries for two 12V LiFePO4 batteries on my travel trailer. I have a 165W Furrion solar panel and a Furroin FSCC30PW-BL solar charge controller. Is it absolutely necessary for me to disconnect the solar panel from the charge controller when swapping out the batteries? If so, can I just cover the panel with a black tarp or blanket?

I checked the owner's manual for the Furrion MPPT Solar Charge Controller part # FSCC60PWBBL and it does state that you must hook the controller up to the battery first before hooking up the solar panels therefore yes, you need to unhook the solar panels when switching batteries.
