Question:
I need to replace my Linear RV5090 media center in my Cougar trailer. The wattage for this Linear is 120. The Jensen RV Stereo is the right dimension to fit the cabinet hole in my Cougar, but the wattage is listed as 48. Is that Jensen unit going to work in my Cougar?

Expert Reply:
Your Linear RV5090 media center has maximum 120 watts power output. 25 watts x 4 channels (Speaker sets A and B) + 10 watts x2 channels (Speaker set C).
The Jensen RV Stereo - Double DIN - AUX/USB, Bluetooth, jControl - 12V # JWM60A has a maximum power output of 48 watts (6W x 8 channels). It's going to work but will not have as robust of a sound. This can be fixed by increasing the wattage with an amplifier like the Jensen Bluetooth Amplifier - 2 Channel - 80 Watts # JAHD240BTR and wiring it to your speakers in series.
