Does this piece just screw on the diverter piece and work, or does it need anything else to be sure it turns the shower on?

The Replacement Diverter Knob for Utopia RV Tub and Shower Faucets part # PF91300133 has threads inside so it will just screw on. It has 1/4-20" threads to be exact.
