Trailer Wiring Options for the 2014 Ford Escape
Question:
my new 2014 escape s does not have any tow package, what wiring kit do i need for trailer lights.

A couple of wiring harnesses have recently been listed as a fit. For the 2014 Ford Escape without the towing package you can use wiring harness # C56190 or # 118566. If you decide to go with # C56190 you also need installation kit # 55151.
Both harnesses will install the same way. You will need to use the included circuit tester to test the vehicle wiring behind the tail lights and tap into them as described in the linked instructions.
